What makes Plan Toys one of the most sustainable toy brands?

Plan Toys use Rubberwood from trees that have finished their rubber producing lives. This is such a great use of a resource as the tree has 2 uses. Better still, the tree is then replanted so it can be used for its rubber and wood once again. They have also found an ingenious use of the sawdust their factory creates too – they form it under high heat and pressure to produce further toys, like the penguin sailing boat mentioned above. If that wasn’t enough, the whole process is actually carbon negative and they actually sell electricity back to their national grid. All this, we believe, makes Plan Toys the most sustainable toy company in the world.

They use water based organic pigments in their paints and also non-formaldehyde glue which they make themselves so they are 100% non toxic and comply with all worldwide toy standards. All the Plan Toys that we sell at Envirotoy are 100% plastic free and their new beautifully designed packaging is 100% recyclable. Since 2020 they use packaging that is made from old product boxes which they haven’t been able to use.
